Oxidized Bitumen 85/40

Oxidized Bitumen 85/40 (Blown Asphalt 85/40) – Flexible, High-Penetration Bitumen for Waterproofing and Industrial Applications

Description:

Oxidized Bitumen 85/40 is a softer, more flexible grade of blown asphalt produced by controlled air-blowing of vacuum-distilled bitumen. With a lower softening point and higher penetration value compared to harder grades (e.g., 90/10 or 95/15), it is ideal for applications requiring enhanced adhesion and elasticity in moderate-temperature conditions.

Uses:

Waterproofing Membranes: Used in roofing felts, damp-proof courses, and laminated sheets.
Pavement Preservation: Crack fillers, joint sealants, and asphalt repair compounds.
Industrial Coatings: Anti-corrosion pipe coatings, tank linings, and mastic asphalt.
Adhesives & Sealants: Bituminous tapes, waterproofing primers, and expansion joint fillers.
Soundproofing & Insulation: Bituminous underlays and acoustic panels.

Packing & Shipping:

  • Packing:
    • 25 kg Polyethylene Bags
    • 50 kg Kraft Bags
    • 180–200 kg Steel Drums
  • Bulk: 1-ton pallets (blocks) or liquid tanker shipments (pre-heated).
  • Shipping: Shipped globally via containers (20′ or 40′ FCL) or bulk vessels. Storage recommended in cool, dry conditions away from direct sunlight.
